The light unit works as it should, it is very bright!
I can't really comment on if it actually does anything for your health but it does certainly light up very bright red.

With this kind of thing you never really know if it's doing what it says it's supposed to be doing, but I've really been wanting to try red light therapy and am giving this a go. You see name brand options for significant amounts of money, but there's no way for me to know if one is better than the other. To be safe, I started using this less than 10 minutes a day to build up to it and to make sure my body responds safely to it. I'm also doing it to make sure the unit isn't doing something harmful to me. So far, so good! The actual unit feels legit and good quality. I'm excited to continue using it!
I really like the size of this red light therapy light. I've had bigger ones that were cumbersome and tiny lamps that I didn't feel like we're putting out enough light. This one is the perfect size for a counter or table to get some quality red light. It is bright and overall pretty quiet other than some humming. Overall really satisfied.

Near infrared light can penetrate clothing to a certain extent, but red light cannot penetrate clothing effectively. Therefore, we generally recommend exposing clean bare skin to the light when the use environment allows.

Why do some LEDs appear not to be working?
The near infrared (800-900nm) spectrum is beyond the visible range of the human eye (400-700nm), so it cannot be directly perceived by the naked eye. When the NIR LED is on, you may only see a tiny pink dot or an extremely subtle pink hue. Nevertheless, these LEDs do release a lot of light energy, ensuring that your ELVISH red light lamp will function perfectly as designed.
